Day of Surgery
Arrival
Please arrive at the hospital 2 hours before your scheduled surgery.
Medications
Bring a current list of your medications with you on the day of surgery. Bring any medications that you may need to take after your surgery (insulin, inhaler, etc). Most blood pressure, heart, breathing, seizure, and anti-reflux medications should be taken the morning of surgery with a small sip of water.
Pre-Operative Hygiene
You should take a morning shower. Wash with your regular soap first and then wash with the antiseptic liquid soap (chlorhexidine) that will be given to you by our office. Remove all jewelry including body piercings.
Attire
You will need to undress and wear a gown during surgery. Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes.
